Chibok Girls Could Be Sent As Teenage Suicide Bombers By Boko Haram

There are indications that Boko Haram could armed some of the Chibok girls and sent them back as teenage bombers. Already we have seen incidents of teenage girls playing the role of suicide bombers.

Just days after two bombs in Kano detonated during the Ramadan celebrations allegedly by teenage girls, Leadership reports with reference to different sources that scores of terrorists are entering Maiduguri. At least 40 Boko Haram suicide bombers, including teenage girls, sneaked into the city to launch attacks.

This revelation was made by a member of the Civilian-JTF who decided to remain anonymous, according to the source, a suspected sect member arrested in July 27 in the city made the confession, adding that out of 40 who had arrived in Maiduguri with the intention to born the state capital, 2 were girls.

The President today officially launched the new 64-page e-passport. Presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati said.

The passport is designed for frequent travelers, its gender friendly, forestalls identify theft, cheaper for the aged and low income earners, and conforms with international best practices.

The cost of the new e-passport for Nigerians below 18-years and those 60-years and above is N8, 750; change of name as a result of marriage or divorce is also N8,750.

Lagos State Government To Look For Passengers In The Flight With The Liberian Ebola Victim - In A Race To Prevent The Spread Of The Virus

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris has announced that the State has instigated a search for those on the same flight from Togo to Lagos with Liberia's Patrick Sawyer, who died last Friday in Lagos of Ebola virus.

The commissioner is saying that, this is mandatory in order to prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the state.

''We are going to trace all of them, each one of them is going to be questioned. There is a protocol they will follow in terms of questioning. They are going to be monitored in the next 21 days to see if any of them has the symptoms.'' Idris said.

I pray they are all well. The disease only becomes contagious when symptoms begins to appear and it's not spread over the air but via body fluid and body contact at this stage. So there is a strong likelihood none of them is infected. But they all have to be checked to be sure.

The Osun People Should Decide - Empty Seats At Debate

American Doctor Treating Ebola Now Infected With The Ebola Virus

An American doctor trying to quell the Ebola outbreak in Liberia is now infected with the virus, the organization for which he works said.

Dr. Kent Brantly is now hospitalized and undergoing treatment at an isolation center, the Christian humanitarian group Samaritan's Purse said.

The 33-year-old doctor had been treating Ebola patients and started feeling ill, Samaritan's Purse 's Ebola Consolidated Case Management Center in Monrovia, Liberia spokeswoman Melissa Strickland said. Once he started noticing the symptoms last week, Brantly isolated himself.

His Ebola infection was confirmed Saturday.

EBOLA UNDATE: Liberian Man Tested For Ebola Virus Alleged To Have Pass Away - Is Ebola Now In Lagos?

The scare of the Ebola virus is gradually hitting home not with the alleged death of the Patrick Sawyer, a Liberian official of the Ministry of Finance, who was on Thursday receiving treatment for what was suspected to be Ebola virus.

Patrick was said to have died on Thursday night at the First Consultant Medical Centre, Obalende.

Mr. Ibu Hits Back At AGN President – Ibinabo Is A Small Girl – (As How Sir)

After last week's accusation and conter accusation by Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Ibinabo Fiberesima and actor John Okafor, where Mr. Ibu adviced the AGN president not to re-contest and also queried her about the funds given to the association by President Jonathan and other state governments.

The Planes That Missiles Can Hit And Even The US Don't Have Them - Israeli National Carrier El Al

While US air carriers were not able to fly to Tel Aviv Israel, because of the ban placed on them by the FAA due to the threat from rocket attacks from Hamas, an Israel airline has been flying home without any hesitation. Thanks to being one of the only airplanes in the world boasting high-tech anti-missile defenses.

El Al, is the national airline of Israel and since an incident in the mid-2000s when an attack on an Israeli chartered aircraft in late 2002 in Mombasa, Kenya, where two shoulder-fired rockets narrowly missed their target, El Al and other Israeli airlines have been preparing for a repeat ever since. They have since been reportedly equipped with some form of anti-missile tech.

After the FAA canceled American Carriers from flying to Israel, El Al issued a statement saying;

“In light of flight cancellations to Israel by foreign air carriers we would like to inform you that El Al, as always, will continue to fly from and to Israel,” the El Al wrote on its website. “The company will continue to keep Israel’s skies open, and will be at your service any time.” The company said it’s also adding flights “to accommodate stranded passengers.”

Wednesday July 23^rd, 2014 marked the 100 days of the abduction of the school girls in Chibok Local Government area of Borno State, North of Nigeria.

The conveners of the group led by feminist activist, Joe Okei-Odumakin called for sustained calls for the rescue of the abducted girls and for unity among all Nigerians to end the menace of terror that has ravaged the country for several months now.

Among those at the event were veteran activists Femi Aborishade, Tunji Braithwaite, Ms. Ayo Obe, Mrs. Abiola Akiode, Nollywood movie producer, Mr. Saidi Balogun and a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mrs. Funmi Tejuosho.

Asari Dokubo Tweets About Yesterday's Buhari Assassination Attack

It obvious that most people are thinking the presidency was behind the assassination attempts on opposition leader and chieftain of the APC party but what 'if' the presidency isn't in any way connected with it. Personally, I don't think or believe President Jonathan had anything to do with the attempt on the life of Gen. Buhari.

Well, it seems I am not the only one as Ex-Niger Delta Militant, Asari Dokubo shares my opinion. He however believes that the attempt on Gen. Buhari's life was to cause calamity in Nigeria allowing the military to take over from President Jonathan. Come to think of it, this makes a lot of sense.

Algerian Plane Disappears From Radar – Likely Crashed in Mali

In the early hours of Thursday, an Algerian plane with at least 116 persons on board dropped off the radar and is feared to have crashed in a remote area of Mali.

The Airline, Air Algerie released a twitter saying that the plane had apparently crashed in the Tilemsi area, about 70 kilometers from the Southeastern city of Gao.

The plane, Flight 5017 lost radar contact 50 minutes after takeoff from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, early Thursday. It was supposed to arrive at Algiers' Houari Boumediene Airport about four hours later.

This is coming on the heel of several aviation disasters; the Malaysian Airplane M17 and TransAsia Airways Flight GE 222 in Taiwan, which was said to have been caused by possible weather conditions. While all the passengers and crews lost their lives in the Malaysian M17, 48 people were killed and 10 injured in the Taiwan crash.

Assassination Attempt On Opposition Leader, Muhammadu Buhari?

There has been what seems like an assassination attempt at former head of state and Chieftain of the opposition APC party, General Muhammadu Buhari.

According to a report by BBC Africa, after a first bomb went off along Alkali Road, a second explosion ripped through the crowded Kawo area, targetting the motorcade of Gen Buhari.

The first explosion was said to have targeted a Muslim clergy who had constantly spoken out against the devilish Boko Haram sect, he wasn't killed in the explosion.

The second explosion was said to have targeted the General as gunmen were said to have traced the convoy of the General and forcefully tried to overtake the security vehicle of the General but was blocked by his escort vehicle only managing to do so when his vehicles slowed down at a kawo market, where they were able to detonated a bomb, destroying three vehicles in the General's convoy and killing passerby's and possible traders at the market.
